Champlain College

Champlain College

Named in honour of 17th century explorer and cartographer Samuel de Champlain, Champlain College has established itself as the college of choice for those who are passionate about adventure, discovery, and global citizenship. The college’s motto says it all: continuer mes decouvertes (continue my discoveries). And, of course, those discoveries take place in an architecturally inspiring setting. Champlain College was designed by legendary Canadian architect Ron Thom—an architect renowned for using natural materials in new and unexpected ways.  Review the Champlain College Website for more information on the college community. Champlain College has two residence locations: one in the heart of the Symons campus and one on Water Street

Parking Lottery

Champlain College Annex, Lady Eaton Annex, and Gzowski College Annex have parking that allow students to park right outside their front door. This parking permit is for the Annex only and does not cover parking at the Symons and Traill campuses.   As these spots are limited, Housing Services runs a lottery (a random draw) for a Trent Annex parking pass. The cost of this parking pass will be approximately $405 (tax included).

If you are interested in participating in the lottery there are two short steps:

1. Confirm you live at an Annex. Only students living at Champlain College Annex, Lady Eaton Annex, and Gzowski College Annex may participate in the lottery. Make sure the room you chose is in one of those locations and you’ll receive information on the lottery to your trentu.ca email address in early August.

2. Submit your name. In early August, you will be provided with information on how to submit your name and vehicle details to be entered into the draw for a parking space. That’s it!

When you’ll hear back from us.

All students will hear back from us in mid-August as to the results of the parking pass lottery. If you are unsuccessful in the lottery process, you can purchase a residence parking pass (overnight parking in lot P on the Symons campus) through the Parking Office on campus https://www.trentu.ca/parking/ , and all Trent University students get a bus pass!
