Global Living Learning Community
Members of this community will be encouraged to be open to different ideas and opinions regarding world issues, all the while challenging their own assumptions of what it means to be a global citizen. A great community for students who are studying International Development Studies, have an interest in studying and living abroad, have experiences living internationally, and a general interest in our impact on a global scale.
What to expect while living in this Residence Learning Community
- Opportunities to meet students who are studying International Development, self-identify as first-generation Canadian, have experience living abroad, or coming to Trent as an International student.
- Discover opportunities to get involved with the Trent International Students’ Association (TISA) and the regional groups, with the Student Association for International Development (SAID), Global Ambassadors with Trent International
- Lead residence communities in the promotion of cultural celebrations and traditions, study abroad opportunities with Trent Study Abroad, and to think globally and act locally by hosting awareness campaigns and programming opportunities with your Living Learning Community Don
- Collaborate with the Trent-Swansea Law Living Learning Community to act out Mock United Nations Trials and debates
- Participate in the variety of Champlain College traditions
