Call for Papers: Canadian Activism related to Gender Marginalization

  • Date: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 - 4:00 PM to 4:00 PM

More Information

The School for the Study of Canada at Trent University is welcoming proposals for papers or panels for an undergraduate student-led conference to take place March 8, 2023. The focus of the conference is Canadian activism related to gender marginalization. We are especially interested in individuals whose contributions focuses on marginalization based on gender identity or an activist movement that is directly tied to the advancement of the rights of those who have been marginalized within the Canadian context.

Papers need not be written specifically for this conference. Prior term work is acceptable for submission, as are presentations which use alternative research presentation formats.

We are hoping to publish the conference papers in an undergraduate journal, and we plan to hold a post-conference workshop for presenters who wish to pursue this option.

If interested in participating in this conference, please contact elisaknight@trentu.ca by February 7, 2023. If you wish to submit a proposal, please include your name, the topic of your research project, and a brief abstract.
