In-Person Fall: Join Us on Campus in September
April 12, 2021 Update
Dear Future Student,
Thank you for your interest in Trent University. As you consider your options for fall, I am pleased to confirm we continue to plan for a full return to in-person learning at both of our campuses for September.
We are confident this fall will look much more “normal” than the past year. News of vaccines rolling out in our communities, across the country and around the world, point to brighter days around the corner.
Looking ahead to an in-person fall term, the University is also committed to following and adjusting to any guidelines that may be required to keep our communities safe as we plan to be back to together on campus this September. We are also continuing to expand on our online course options so those who wish to take some courses remotely can do so.
Our supports and services including orientation, peer mentors, and support through Trent's collegiate communities, will ensure you have the connections, mentorship and academic resources you need to succeed.
More information and details about our plans for fall will be shared in the coming weeks and months. I encourage you to watch your email and check the Trent Forward website for updates.
All of us at Trent are looking forward to welcoming new students, like you, to our vibrant community of scholars. I invite you to continue to stay connected as you prepare for your postsecondary journey and, hopefully, a path to Trent University. If you have questions, reach out to our helpful recruitment team any time at discovertrent@trentu.ca or 1-888-739-8885.
I hope to meet you on campus this September.

January 11, 2021 Update
Dear Future Student,
I would like to begin by thanking you for your interest in Trent University. I know that students like you are wondering: what will it look like to study as a new student at Trent this fall?
I am pleased to share that we are expecting (and planning for) in-person learning at our Peterborough and Durham campuses for fall 2021 and winter 2022. We are determined to provide you with the best educational experience possible, in a way that allows for campus connections, athletics and recreation, and opportunities to live and study, socialize and gain work experience on campus. For students who prefer remote learning, we will be providing some enhanced opportunities for students to study online.
Our Trent Forward plan has led the way and will continue to balance Trent's exemplary student experience with the health and safety of our students and community.
The news of promising vaccines is encouraging. As we prepare to be together on campus this September, we will also be ready to provide the flexibility in learning that students have come to expect. Should conditions change, our flexible approach to learning allows us to be responsive and deliver courses in a variety of learning formats. Trent professors are utilizing technologies and techniques developed based on student feedback during the pandemic to ensure you receive the personalized and interactive learning experience that you expect here.
All of us at Trent are looking forward to welcoming new students to our vibrant community of scholars. Our supports and services including orientation, peer mentors, and support through Trent's collegiate communities, will ensure you have the connections, mentorship and academic resources you need to succeed.
