Colleges - Lady Eaton College

Named in honour of 17th century explorer and cartographer Samuel de Champlain, Champlain College has established itself as the college of choice for those who are passionate about adventure, discovery, and global citizenship. The college’s motto says it all: continuer mes decouvertes (continue my discoveries). And, of course, those discoveries take place in an architecturally inspiring setting. Champlain College was designed by legendary Canadian architect Ron Thom—an architect renowned for using natural materials in new and unexpected ways.

Named in honour of Peter Gzowski (a much-loved Canadian journalist and broadcaster who was renowned for sparking important conversations about Canada), Gzowski College is all about continuing the dialogue about who we are as Canadians and who we wish to become. Gzowski College is housed in an eye-catching ocre building called Enweying (which translates from Nishnaabewin as "The way we speak together").

OTONABEE COLLEGE

In Ojibwe, Otonabee means “river that beats like a heart.” It’s a fitting name for a college that both honours tradition and embraces change. Situated on the east bank of the river from which it takes its name, Otonabee College is the largest of the four undergraduate colleges at Trent. But don’t let that intimidate you. Our residences are divided into eight different houses—our way of ensuring that every student becomes part of a warm and welcoming community.
