Human Rights (Co-op Available)
The Human Rights & Global Justice program aims to provide students with a solid understanding of the importance of human rights as a matter of universal significance through the delivery of a comprehensive but focused curriculum. As a student in this program, you will explore human rights through the lens of feminism, anti-racism, Indigenous perspectives and knowledges, sexual diversity, and class-based discrimination. You will also develop your critical thinking through examinations of human rights and justice through history, philosophy, culture, economics, and other academic perspectives. Gain hands-on experience through co-op, research, field placements, and other applied learning and career opportunities.

- Combine your B.A. with a LL.B and graduate with two degrees in just six years as part of the Trent/Swansea Dual Degree program. Begin your studies at Trent, then take your education across the Atlantic to Wales as you live, learn, travel, explore, and live abroad, before returning to Trent to complete your honours degree credentials
- Apply your learning and critical thinking skills through a community-based research project, exploring an issue or research question, such as migration, with a local community organization

Human Rights Specialist
Social policy researchers, consultants and program officers conduct research, develop policy and implement or administer programs in areas such as consumer affairs, employment, home economics, immigration, law enforcement, corrections, human rights, housing, labour, family services, foreign aid and international development. They are employed by government departments and agencies, industry, hospitals, educational institutions, consulting establishments, professional associations, research institutes, non-government organizations and international organizations or they may be self-employed.
