One of the most established and versatile university majors, History at Trent immerses you in a variety of political, social, and cultural themes to develop valuable research, analytical, and communication skills. The flexibility of this program gives you the freedom to customize your education by theme, time period, or location, while also exploring a wide variety of topics in complementary disciplines. Here at Trent you will have the unique opportunity to engage with world-renowned historians who are sought out for their unique expertise in topics such as the history of medicine and disease and cultural and environmental history. In addition to historians, you will also be taught by leading academics in Cultural Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Ancient Greek & Roman Studies.

Curators recommend the acquisition of museum artifacts and gallery works of art and research their artistic history. Conservators and curators are employed in museums, art galleries and universities.
