Health Benefit Plan

All full and part-time Trent University Durham students are levied a fee which provides them with a comprehensive health benefit plan including limited provisions for prescription drugs, dental and vision care. The plan runs from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017.

Opt-Out Information

Students can choose to opt-out of the plan for reimbursement (providing they have comparable coverage).  The opt-out deadline is open September 1, 2017 and closes September 30, 2017.  For January-start students only, the opt-out period is January 1-30, 2018. Students may opt-out online at the Student VIP website

Family Opt-In Information

Students with a spouse (including common-law) and/or dependent children may opt-in their family members for an additional cost. You may opt-in family members during a period in September and January(for January start students only) online at the Student VIP website
