My approach to teaching is based on facilitating and guiding students as they engage with the critical and creative processes. I think we all have a collective responsibility to each other, and that idea is a key component of what I think it means to be a teacher. I draw upon my 10 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience and my work in Indigenous-based pedagogy when designing formal and informal learning experiences. I teach courses on Arts, Intermediate Learners, and Indigenous Education in both the BEd program and the Indigenous Bachelor of Education program. Additionally, I am the faculty liaison for the Education Students Association and the Faculty Advisor-at-Large for the School of Education. My current areas of research include the interesting areas of Music Education, Indigenous Education, and Curriculum and Pedagogy./p>
