At Trent I am one of the faculty advisors for elementary teacher candidates, and a course instructor. Prior to my work at Trent I had the opportunity to work as a teacher, facilitator, Education Officer, Student Achievement Officer and school administrator, all of which provided unique challenges and rewards. An area of focus for many years has been supporting English Language Learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12, and developing relationships with community organizations to enhance the learning of newcomers to Canada. I am passionate about the arts in education and in life. I spent many years as a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, among others, and I also play a variety of instruments. As a firm believer in lifelong learning I am currently involved in creating pottery and stained glass, and I am an aspiring bassoonist. Other long-time interests include kayaking and photography.
