Program Descriptions:

Faculty Orientation Session – Come and meet Professor Joel Baetz.  He is a beloved professor on our campus -- and has some ideas about what your courses will look like in January, and what you might do to get ready for them. Bring your questions (and, sure, your worries and your hopes) -- and we'll do our best to get you some answers and welcome you to our Durham campus community.

Course Registration and Remote Access Support Drop-In Sessions – Course registration support sessions on a 'drop in' basis.  Flexible times for you to explore, confirm or complete your course registrations for the January term.   Course access information including access to additional remote services such as MyTrent, textbooks, financial aid and others will be shared.

Parents & Supporters Session – Pass this on to your mentors and/or parents that are interested in knowing how to support their university bound student.  They can attend this session for guidance and ask questions regarding on-campus supports.

Dean and Student Services Orientation Session – Our support team will provide opportunities for you to bring any outstanding questions you may have and to confirm how, with your help, we can continue to support you on your educational journey.  You will also have a chance to meet the Dean and Head of the Durham Campus, Dr. Scott Henderson.

Student Social Session – Join Orientation Leaders and other new students to meet each other virtually and participate in several games and icebreakers to help you get to know each other.  Students will have the opportunity to join rooms where they can learn about each other, play drawing style games, or just relax and socialize with other students in a “coffee house” style room, just to name a few.

Click Here to Register for Winter Orientation!

We will also be connecting with all incoming students by phone through our outreach campaign in the coming weeks to see if you have questions about the start of the year and want to speak to someone live.  Keep an ear out for a phone call from our student staff soon!

We look forward to supporting you in the transition to TrentU Durham GTA.

SAS supports students who experience barriers in accessing their education as a result of either a permanent or temporary condition. All students who register with SAS begin the formal process by completing our Pre-Intake Questionnaire.  Students requiring academic accommodations should complete their intake as soon as possible.

This form allows you to share about your needs, strengths and upload supporting documentation. You can learn more about our disability documentation requirements by clicking here.  We welcome general inquiries to durhamsas@trentu.ca.
