Let's Get You Ready to Start this Fall!
Summer Orientation allows students coming from high school, as well as mature and transfer students to have the launch that they need to be ready for September. Learn about registering for courses and other important topics before beginning in the fall.
Summer Academic Kickstart
Summer Academic Kickstart is open to all new students and provides opportunities for students and their parents/supporters to learn more about the campus, services, and resources available during their time at Trent University Durham GTA.

Preparing for Course Registration - Reviewing the resources available to students navigating the academic calendar, determining degree requirements, and the difference between mandatory and elective credits.
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) - Did you have an IEP in high school? Did you have a support plan at another college or university? Do you have documentation that indicates a need for supports at Trent? Join Trent U Durham’s Accessibility Advisors for this info session to learn about our registration process and how we can support you.
Student Life & Services - This is an opportunity to meet staff and student leaders promoting student success through many different services and student engagement programs.
Parents & Supporters - Pass this on to your mentors and/or parents that are interested in knowing how to support their university bound student. They can attend this session for guidance and ask questions regarding on-campus supports.
Program Specific Sessions (for New Students with no Transfer Credits)
The following program sessions will be available for students to attend which includes a presentation on program required courses and a moderated chat for students to ask questions directly to staff and student leaders. It is important to note that course registration begins on Monday, July 27th and is on a first-come, first serve basis. Students should attempt to register for classes using the guides available on the Course Selection and Registration support page.
*Please note that a student only needs to attend one of the following, but can attend more if they have more than one focus:
