Sociology (B.A.)

Gain firsthand research experience working with experts in the fields of aging, law, medicine, popular culture and sexuality, examining and exploring these topics in a supportive environment.

How do we shape and how are we shaped by our society? Sociology looks at this relationship and examines what the consequences are when we challenge the norm. Rooted within a foundation of social justice, as a student in Trent’s Sociology program you will explore cultural diversity, social experiences, and dynamics of power and inequality that shape the relationships between individuals, groups, institutions, and societies.
