Incoming Students Get a Helping Hand at Trent University Durham GTA
Trent University Durham GTA opened its doors to welcome incoming students to the campus during the traditional Summer Academic Kick-Start on June 28.
“All students that attended the June Academic Kick-Start were given the opportunity to confirm course registration, learn about opportunities and services on campus, and experience their first lecture with Dr. Joel Baetz in preparation for September,” said Chris Nelan, student life coordinator at Trent Durham.
Many students and supporters found the day to be of great benefit. “I came to make sure that all the courses I chose were the proper ones and that I didn’t make any mistakes. I felt like I got that today. I didn’t know if I had prerequisites before today. Talking to people helped me find out the information I needed,” said Trinity Koyama-Asada, an incoming Trent Durham Business Administration student.
For those who missed the event and need help registering for courses, visit the Student Orientation website or call 905-435-5100 to book an appointment with an academic advisor.
