Trent University Alumni Affairs looks forward to welcoming you to our inspiring and educational evening on October 18, 2017 in Oshawa.
6:30pm: Doors open, refreshments will be available.
7:00pm: Welcome by Trent alumna, Laura Suchan '84, Director of the Oshawa Museum, Trent University update by Julie Davis, Trent Vice-President, External Relations & Advancement, and presentation of the Trent Distinquished Alumni Award to Trent alumnus Garry Cubitt ' 67
7:30pm: Keynote address with Q&A by Dr. Dawn Lavell-Harvard, Director of the First Peoples House of Learning at Trent University. Dr. Lavell-Harvard is a proud member of the Wikwemikong First Nation, the first Aboriginal Trudeau Scholar and has worked to advance the rights of Aboriginal women as the President of the Ontario Native Women's Association for 11 years.
7:50pm: Trent alumna Melissa Cole '96 Curator at the Oshawa Museum introduces new immersive exhibit "A Carrying Place: Oshawa's Indigenous Story"
8:00pm: Tour of new immersive exhibit "A Carrying Place: Oshawa's Indigenous Story"
