Return to Campus Plan for Research: Stage 1 Opening Update
On May 14 the Provincial Government announced that Professional Services related to Research and Development will be included among the areas in Stage 1 openings in the province’s COVID19 phased recovery plan. Since Trent anticipated an announcement of this nature, and Research is listed with other organizations and facilities effective May 19, 2020, the University is actively working on a plan to transition back to on-campus research. This plan will be a phased-in approach guided by public health advice, and in accordance with appropriate Federal and Provincial directives.
On May 13, 2020, The Office of Research & Innovation sent an email to researchers outlining the guiding principles of the Phase One transition and informing them of the Impact Assessment & Return to On-Campus Research Form. The Research Form will be available to researchers as early as May 18 and submissions will help the University prioritize and plan for a safe, phased return to campus, taking the time to plan a return supported by the appropriate health and safety protocols and equipment, for prioritized research areas over the course of the coming weeks.
Questions or concerns specific to the guiding principles, should be directed to email@example.com.
