Message from Student Leadership
Dear Trent University Students,
In response to the evolving coronavirus situation, Trent University has decided to suspend classes until Wednesday, March 18th, at which time they will be largely moved online. In addition, all events have been cancelled until further notice. These are proactive measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
We, as your student leaders, are in communication with Trent administration concerning health on campus. The health and safety of students are at the front of everyone's mind. Thus, the various student associations, college cabinets and levy groups will continue to meet (virtually!) to discuss how we can support students in this uncertain time. We encourage all students with concerns to remain up to date by visiting (https://www.trentu.ca/coronavirus/) and if you have an urgent question to email email@example.com. Students need to stay informed in these uncertain times, be wary of misinformation, and to consult official sources such as university administration and the website as much as possible, as this situation will continue to change.
Both Peterborough and Durham campuses, residences, food services and other essential services will remain open and operational as the university adjusts operations.
As we adjust to this challenge, we must do so calmly and together. We are all one great big Trent family drawn together in a time of need. Now, above all times, is the time to challenge the way we think about how we react to challenges laid before us. We are all here to support each other.
In solidarity and with caring hearts
Your Student Leaders
