What will you find in the Gzowski College community?
Math equations on our blackboards and windows. The smell of sweetgrass from a smudge to welcome a visiting Elder. The sound of drumming during an Indigenous performance class in the Nozhem theatre. A School of Business networking event or career expo in the atrium. Economics professors holding impromptu office hours in the hallways. A pasta bar in the beautiful Peter Robinson Dining hall – our green-certified caf, with a fireplace, and comfy seating. You will find friends and faculty from every discipline meeting, studying, learning, and speaking together.
"I like the cohesion that takes place in this particular college between distinctive programs like Business and Indigenous Studies.'
Student Testimonials: Colourful Spaces with a Modern Vibe
The Enwayaang building that hosts Gzowski College was designed to rest gently on the land. The building features lots of glass, a small ecological footprint, Indigenous spaces, and medicine wheel colours.
“I enjoy the amount of Indigenous culture in the Enwayaang building. I like the cafeteria for example, with the medicine wheel themed chairs and all the murals. It's a great place to sit and study with all the natural light and big tables!”
"I enjoy the "fresh" design, the look of the building inside and out, and how modern it is. It is a landmark of the university and can be seen anywhere on campus."
"The colours are fun and inviting. It also has a beautiful view of the river and the land outside. Of course, the food is amazing and the staff is too!! I love the study space, and windows that wrap around the seminar rooms and lecture hall spaces."
