Join us for our Harvest Traditions!
In some of the first weeks of the Fall semester Champlain hosts and celebrates Harvest Weekend. Harvest has a plethora of events. Over the Friday and Saturday of the weekend there is a touch football tournament called ‘The Pig Bowl’ hosted by Champlain College Cabinet. Throughout the weekend there is also Learn to Canoe, a Barbeque hosted by the Champlain College Office, events by Trent Internationald and a Harvest dinner for ALL Champlain students. This weekend has something for everyone.

Friday September 24th
- 10am- 6pm Pig Bowl - (Flag Football Tournament)
- 12pm-2pm Pizza Lunch and Campfire- K/L FIeld
- 11am and 1pm- Learn to Row
Saturday September 25th
- 10am-3pm Pig Bowl - Continued, (Flag Football Tournament)
- 12pm-2pm BBQ and Hot Chocolate Bar- Beach Quad
- 11am-2pm Learn to Canoe
- 11am-2pm Hungry Hippo Bouncy Castle
- 11am-2pm Lawn Games and Campfire
- 6pm- 8pm Harvest Dinner- Purchase tickets in the Great Hall or the Champlain College Office 202
Friday September 24th
10am- 6pm Pig Bowl - (Flag Football Tournament)
- Team based event. Flag football is a variant of American football where, instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag or flag belt from the ball carrier to end a down.
12pm-2pm Pizza Lunch and Campfire
- Join us in the K/L Field behind Champlain Residence for pizza and a campfire hosted by Champlain College.
11am and 1pm- Learn to Row (3599 Nassau Mills Rd)
- Team based event. Rowing, sometimes called crew in the United States, is the sport of racing boats using oars. It differs from paddling sports in that rowing oars are attached to the boat using oarlocks, while paddles are not connected to the boat.
Saturday September 25th
10am-3pm Pig Bowl- Continued (Flag Football Tournament)

11am- 2pm Learn to Canoe
- Team Based Event. A canoe is a lightweight narrow water vessel, typically pointed at both ends and open on top, propelled by one or more seated or kneeling paddlers facing the direction of travel and using a single-bladed paddle.
11am-2pm Hungry Hippo Bouncy Castle
- Single Person or Team based event. Want to challenge your friends? Join us in the Beach Quad for some Covid safe fun.
11am-2pm Lawn Games and Campus Fire
- Team based event. Join us in the K/L field and enjoy some relaxing time playing lawn games by a camp fire.
12pm-2pm BBQ and Hot Chocolate Bar
- Join us in the Beach Quad for a BBQ hosted by Champlain College and a Hot Chocolate Bar hosted by Trent International.
6pm-8pm Harvest Dinner
- Join Champlain Cabinet in the Great Hall for some delicious food and great entertainment. Purchase your $10.00 tickets (subsidized by Cabinet) from the Great Hall or Champlain College Office room 202.
