Scarf Ceremony
Each college has a college scarf that is presented to new students at some point during the year. At Lady Eaton we hand out our scarves to students at the scarf ceremony that typically takes place during Orientation Week. Students wear these scarves throughout their years at Trent to show their college pride.
Each college scarf is decorated with a college crest. However, Lady Eaton’s coat-of-arms is the only one that is officially recognized by the Order of Canada. The coat-of-arms was created under the authority of the Chief Herald of Canada in 1989 making Lady Eaton one of less-than-100 educational institutions in the country to have such an honour.
If you miss the scarf ceremony be sure to stop by the College Office to pick up your yellow and blue stripes!
