Otonabee College Dining Hall
The OC Dining Hall, located next to Wenjack Theatre, is a popular spot for students to grab a bite to eat, and say hello to the wonderful staff! With a Tim Hortons, Subway, Pizza Pizza, Grill and Soup station, and more, there is something for everyone in the OC Dining Hall! Click here to explore more information about dining on campus.
Named after Chanie Wenjack, Trent's largest lecture hall is located in Otonabee College. The naming of this lecture theatre is due to the work of student leaders from the Indigenous Studies department who, during the construction of Otonabee College, lobbied for the college to be named in Chanie’s honour. The students saw this dedication as an opportunity for Trent to strengthen its Indigenous Studies program, and establish itself as a force for change, hope, and a positive educational experience. The campaign spearheaded by student leaders led to the memorialization of Chanie through the naming of Trent’s largest lecture hall as the Chanie Wenjack Theatre.
Otonabee College Cabinet Office
The Otonabee College Cabinet collaborates closely with the Otonabee College Office to provide engaging events, programming, and OC traditions. The OC Cabinet is your elected student government who sits on many essential committees across the university and acts as your active voice on campus. During the academic year, OC Cabinet holds regular office hours, so stop by the OC Cabinet Office located in the Otonabee College Commons to learn more. Questions can also be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Otonabee College Commons
Located above the Otonabee College Office and across from Wenjack Theatre, the OC Commons is home to flat screen televisions, couches, dining areas, study areas, a cooking station, and a piano. The Commons is a great place for all students at Trent to hangout and relax. There is also an elevator at the back of the commons which makes it easily accessible to everyone. There are many events that take place throughout the year in the Commons, so be sure to stay connected for updates!
In Otonabee College, our residence is organized as 'houses' and, located above SC 137, the K-House Lounge is a space dedicated to OC off-campus students and open to all. This is a cool place to hangout with cozy furniture, lots of windows for natural light, and a great view of the Science Complex. It's the perfect spot to study, have a bite to eat, or just hangout with some friends!
Otonabee College Patio
Looking for a nice place to sit outside and enjoy all of the beauty that Trent has to offer? Then come out to our Otonabee College patio! Equipped with picnic tables, concrete paths, and lots of trees for some natural shade on the hot weather days, the patio is a perfect place to hangout and enjoy the beautiful views of East Bank.
Otonabee College Quad
The quad is located in front of the residence building and is a great place to have lunch, hangout with friends, or visit the tipi! You can often see the quad from one of our seminar rooms, or the School of Education. This is another great outdoor space on campus that is often a quiet getaway!
