Timelines and Next Steps

The Cleantech Commons Master Plan was reviewed by the Trent Board of Governors and was approved at the open session of the Board on June 16, 2017. City Council also approved the Master Plan and the Draft Plan of Subdivision at their July 31, 2017 Council meeting. This is a formal planning process under the Planning Act and is the equivalent of an Environmental Assessment under Provincial rules.

The City will now begin to prepare construction documents for phase 1 servicing and streets, and begin construction in early 2018. At the same time, the first tenant, Noblegen, is preparing construction plans for the first building in the Park, aiming to open in 2019.
