Youth Registered Programs

Ninja Kids (Ages 2 - 5)

Ninja Kids is an engaging physical program for children 2 - 5 years old.  The program is designed to help develop a child’s physical literacy by building confidence, strength and respect for others. Through play, challenging activities and fun games, Ninja Kids will prepare children for whatever athletic goals they pursue in the future. 

Program runs September 9 to November 30. 

Saturdays    9:00 am - 10:00 am
                   10:00 am - 11:00 am

 

Junior Judo - Recreation (Ages 7 - 12)

Judo is a fun sport for all ages. It is currently practiced in 200 countries worldwide. Through this program you will develop respect, control, calmness, willpower, perseverance and confidence. You will develop fitness, flexibility, balance, endurance and self-defence. The ultimate goal of Judo is educational; learning to make the best use of your energy through body/mind training.

Program runs September 9 to December 14. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays    6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

 

Junior Judo - Competitive (Ages 10 - 14)

Building on the principles learned in Junior Judo, this program will provide training for youth to perform at a more competitive level of Judo.

Program runs September 9 to December 14. 

Tuesdays, Thursdays    7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
& Fridays    6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

 

Jr NBA Basketball Canada (Ages 6 - 12) 

Jr. NBA Youth Basketball Canada is a progressive development program that falls within the FUNdamental/Learn to Train stages of the Canadian Sport for Life. The focus is on fun, and developing the confidence and competence in enjoying physical activities. Skill development will occur through a variety of safe, challenging games and quality instruction. The Jr. NBA program will focus on the fundamental movement skills of running, jumping, throwing, catching, balance, agility, and co-ordination. The program will also work to begin the development of some of the fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defending.

Program runs September 14 to November 30 (no class Oct 5 and nov 23).

Fit Box (Ages 8-13) 

The Junior Excalibur Fit Box Program is a youth fitness program dedicated to using boxing training techniques, stressing the technical and fitness aspects of boxing as a means of achieving a healthy and active lifestyle. The program is a non-contact routine and intended for youth ages 8-13. The program incorporates controlled, directed movement to maximize fitness and prevent injury. The program can be used as cross training for multiple sports to improve speed, agility, balance, and coordination. Benefits of the program include; increased fitness, increased disciple and focus, build confidence and self-esteem, and encourage and help youth in the community to lead positive lives.

Program runs September 11 to November 27.
