Indoor Rock Wall

Process for Rock Wall Use

BOOK YOUR ROCKWALL INTRODUCTORY LESSON. Select “REGISTER NOW” on our website, select drop-in bookings and then the time of your choice. Two climbers must be scheduled for each booking period, as climbing lessons require two people to complete all steps of the orientation. One individual may reserve the booking online, and the other climber will be booked in when they arrive at the Athletics Centre. All climbers must have an active Athletics Centre membership.

Process for Rock Wall Use

Our indoor rock climbing wall is available to all Trent students and community members  after they have completed a rock wall introductory lesson. Use of the rock wall and introductory lessons are included with your membership. The rock wall is 28 feet high with routes varying in difficulty and terrain to challenge all level of climbers from novice to advanced. We have harnesses and helmets available to use at no charge. The mandatory 90 minute basic introductory lesson provides climbers with knowledge of basic climbing and safety procedures for climbing and belaying. Introductory lessons are open to two people per booking period. Simply sign up through our website by clicking register now on the right hand side of the website.

Climber Sign In

Climbers must check in with the our Climbing Instructors before using the rock wall. Only those climbers who have signed a waiver, completed an introductory lesson will be permitted to climb.

Climber Waiver Forms

Climbers must sign a waiver form prior to their first use of the rock climbing wall. Each waiver form is good for one year. Waivers will be made available at your introductory lesson.

Climbing Hours

To ensure safety the rock wall is only open when a Climbing Instructor is present. Booking must be made in advance and only introductory lessons are available for the month of December. Only one introductory lesson per person is available as we work to fully reopen the rock wall into the new year. Two climbers must be scheduled for each booking period, as climbing lessons require two people to complete all steps of the orientation. One individual may reserve the booking online, and the other climber will be booked in when they arrive at the Athletics Centre. All climbers must have an active Athletics Centre membership.
