Listen as she talks about her time at the University and about the history of the College. Dr. Fry held the position of principal for five years and taught Philosophy at Trent, winning the prestigious Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching for 1986-87.
She served as vice-president from 1975 to 1979 and was an acting president of the University. She later became the president of the University of King’s College in Halifax before returning to Peterborough to retire.
Dr. Michael Eamon, Traill College’s current principal, calls Fry “a groundbreaker in higher education who inspired and empowered young women at a time when universities were male dominated.”
