Re-presentations
The Centre for the Study of Theory, Culture and Politics sponsors an annual speakers' series scheduled in conjunction with our core seminar in theory, culture, and politics (T5000). This year's theme, both for the series and for the seminar, is "Re-presentations." Visitors in the series also offer a seminar to students in the T5000 course, providing an opportunity for our first-year students to work with some of the most exciting and innovative scholars in the humanities and social sciences. There will be two presentations offered through TCP's "Politically Queer/Queerly Political" series.
To view this year's schedule, follow the links to our Fall and Winter term "Speakers Series" pages; titles will be added as they become available.
Unless otherwise indicated, all presentations take place on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm at Traill College. There are opportunities to socialize with our visitors afterwards in the Traill College Senior Common Room. As always, these presentations are open to all members of the university community.
