Trent has two LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, projects on campus - the Life and Health Sciences Buildings and the Athletics Centre Addition. The LEED certification program is for sustainable building design, practices and operation. For more details, check out the LEED score cards for the Athletics project and the LHS project.
Trent continues to embed sustainable features into our facilities. Engineered for energy efficiency, the new Student Centre will be 41% more efficient than a building of standard design. Likewise, sustainable features are being included in the new Bata renovation including a 12 metre green wall!
Trent University is a Member of the Canadian Green Building Council who offers the LEED program. As well, our Sustainability Coordinator is a LEED Accredited Professional.
