The Trent Mountain Bike Club welcomes riders of all abilities, from Ontario Cup competitors to those new to the sport of cross-country riding. The club has no membership fees: all you need is a bike. The club is run in a relaxed manner, allowing members to choose which events they take part in. The club rides two to three times per week, meeting outside the doors of the Athletic Complex, and competes in the four races of the University Cup race series and finishes the season with a team party. The club has also attended other events when there was interest, such as the Uxbridge Icebreaker of spring 2007.
The University Cup Race Series
This race series hosted the University of Toronto is perfect for first-time racers as well as experienced competitors. Races divisions are split between men and women, and between A (advanced) and B (beginner) riding levels. Riders earn points for their school by their placings at the end of each race and every rider who finishes a race earns points. The school with the highest amount of points at the end of the series is the winner.
