                                                           BECOME INVOLVED!
Hello Trent Graduate Students! There are a number of ways to get involved at Trent University and sitting on a university committee is a great way to volunteer and learn about what’s going on at Trent. There are positions available within both senate and administration, as well as within the executive of the Graduate Students Association. The numerous committees which need graduate representation are listed below.

Senate Committees Positions
-Research Policy, SSHRC Research Grants (sub-committee of Research Policy Committee), Natural Research Grants (sub-committee of Research Policy Committee), Distinguished Research Awards (sub-committee of Research Policy Committee), Research Ethics Board, Senate Budget, Special Appeals, Teaching & Learning Support, Library Advisory(sub-committee of Teaching & Learning Support), Teaching Awards (sub-committee of Teaching & Learning Support), Technology for Teaching & Learning (sub-committee of Teaching & Learning Support), CUPE Award for Excellence in Teaching

Administrative Committees Positions
-Housing and Food Services (CASSC sub-committee), Student Orientation (CASSC sub-committee), Religious Affairs (CASSC sub-committee), Health and Counselling Services, Transportation (CASSC sub-committee), Wellness Committee (CASSC sub-committee), Colleges Committee (CASSC sub-committee), Campus Card Committee (CASSC sub-committee), Fair Trade (CASSC sub-committee), Facilities & Grounds Advisory, Environmental Advisory Board, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety, Animal Care

We also need representatives for the Graduate Students Association (GSA) in the following disciplines; Anthropology, Cultural Studies, English, History, Indigenous Studies, Material Sciences and Theory, Culture and Politics.
If you cannot find something in the list which tickles your fancy, and you want to get involved somehow, you can email gsa@trentu.ca. If you have found something that rubbed you the right way than go ahead and email us and we can send a more descriptive description (hehe) of what the position entails and the time commitment involved. Keep in mind that many of the above positions do not hold regular meetings and therefore do not take much time commitment.
