What is a transcript?

A transcript is an official copy of your student academic record. It records all courses successfully and unsuccessfully completed, and all courses that were withdrawn after the registration deadline. All Trent University transcripts include a record of every term that you have attended. Trent University transcripts iinclude both your undergraduate and graduate studies, as applicable. Unofficial and Official transcripts can be accessed and ordered through the Trent University portal.

Unofficial Transcript

An unofficial transcript is available for viewing in the Trent University portal. The unofficial transcript can be printed or saved as a PDF and used for a variety of purposes. Your unofficial transcript will meet the requirements of many external organizations, saving you from having to order a printed copy of your official transcript.

Official Transcript

Your Official Transcript can be requested at any time through the Trent University portal. The cost to request an Official Transcript is $14.00, including standard postage. Official Transcripts can be used to satisfy requirements of many institutions and professional organizations. Before ordering an Official Transcript you are encouraged to view your Unofficial Transcript. Transcripts can be ordered online through the Trent portal using a major credit card.

Issuing your Official Transcript

When ordering a transcript you can ask that it be printed and sent out as soon as possible or at a future date, such as after the term is completed, after the academic year is completed, or after degree is conferred. The chart below indicates all of your options, including the anticipated date when your transcript request will be processed based on the request.

How can I pay for my transcript?

You can pay for your order with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Visa Debit.

How long does it take to process my request and send my transcript?

Transcript requests made online through myTrent are typically printed the next business day.

How long does it take to receive my transcript using Canada Post regular mail?

Regular Canada Post mail is included in the cost of the transcript, and delivery can take 3 to 7 business days from the time it is mailed.

Can I pay extra to have my transcript expedited?

Yes The drop-down menu under "Pickup Option" provides a Courier-RO ($40.00) option.

Can I get someone else to pick up my transcript?

Yes For third party pick-up, you will need to send an email from your myTrent email account to Your email must include your full name and Trent University student number. It must also include a statement giving permission to a specific person to pick up your transcript. It must indicate the first and last name of the person that will be picking up your transcript. Photo ID will be required from the person picking up your transcript before your transcript can be released to him/her.

If I completed my Undergrad and Master's degrees at Trent, do I need two separate transcripts?

No Both Undergraduate and Graduate results are included in one transcript.

If I don't have a credit card, how do I order a transcript?

NEW We are now accepting Visa Debit as a payment option.

Can I view my transcript?

Yes, you can view, print, or create a PDF of your unofficial transcript when you log in to myTrent. Click on "Academics" then click on "Unofficial Transcript." The Registrar's Office does not send PDF or fax copies of transcripts. You can also access it at the link above.

How do I check the status of my transcript request?

You can check the status of your transcript by logging in to myTrent. Click on the Academics tab, scroll down to Forms, click on "Transcript Request Status." Look for the date in the "date produced" box if no date appears, then your transcript request is still being processed.

Do I need my student number to order a transcript?

No By logging in to myTrent, the order form automatically recognizes your unique student ID and inserts it into the transcript request form.

How do I find my student number?

Your student number can be found when you log into myTrent and click on your name in the top right corner of the screen.
