TheRedPath is a unique and innovative process that blends the cultural and the clinical approaches to successfully increase social and emotional competencies and decrease alexithymia among Aboriginal populations. This process can be taught in two ways. First, to health and wellness practitioners and frontline workers on how to incorporate the concepts into existing practices and programs to make them more effective; and second, to individuals on how to deliver the 28 day intervention program. The training varies from 3 to 5 days and is delivered through a corporate partnership with Whitepath Consulting. TheRedPath Training Registration Form - Training available June thru November 2005 TheRedPath offers a choice to Aboriginal peoples, a new direction when none seems available. Canada’s history of Aboriginal criminality, mistreatment in residential schools, suicide and failing child welfare system has created a deficit in Aboriginal emotional health. TheRedPath was developed with the goal of blending clinical and cultural approaches to facilitate participants’ personal development in terms of physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well being. TheRedPath model incorporates key Aboriginal concepts - Circle, Creativity, Balance and Ceremony – to develop interpersonal, intrapersonal, stress management and adaptability skills. It successfully trains participants to balance all aspects of their lives, making for happy, healthy individuals capable of making a positive contribution to their communities.
