Profile
Doug Torgerson is a political theorist, who graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in Political Philosophy, obtained an M.E.S. from the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University, and received an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto. He is past Director of Trent’s Centre for the Study of Theory, Culture and Politics and holds appointments in the Cultural Studies Program and the Environmental and Resource Studies Program, as well as the Department of Political Studies. He has taught at Trent since 1981.
Professor Torgerson's main teaching interests are in the areas of
political theory, cultural theory, cultural politics, and environmental
politics.
