Parking Regulations
Parking regulations at Trent University are established under the authority of the Board of Governors to encourage the safe, orderly, and equitable use of the limited number of parking spaces available to students, staff, faculty, and visitors on campus. It is the responsibility of the owner or operator of a vehicle to know and comply with these regulations. Failure to comply could result in a parking policy violation fee or a tow away at the owner/operator's risk and expense. If you park illegally and do not find a parking policy violation notice on your vehicle, do not assume you did not get one. It is possible that someone removed it from your vehicle. Notwithstanding, you will still be responsible for any parking policy violation notices issued to your vehicle and any vehicles registered in your parking account. To avoid this problem, do not park improperly. We also recommend that you check your parking account periodically.
Parking policy violation fees are payable within 7 calendar days of issuance or a written appeal must be submitted on-line via the appeals section of your parking account within the same time frame. Parking policy violation fees not paid within 7 calendar days of issue are subject to additional administration fees, along with any fees required to identify the registered owner, and may also result in the suspension of parking privileges, referral to a collection agency, University sanctions and/or legal action, or withholding of marks/transcripts. Payment for parking policy violation fees can be made on-line through your ParkAdmin account http://trentu.parkadmin.ca by VISA or Master Card or in person at the Parking and Access Control Office.
