Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards
If you are an outstanding student, Trent wants to recognize your achievements.

More than $5 million in scholarships, bursaries, awards and prizes is available to eligible Trent students. In fact, Trent ranks #1 in Canada for investments in scholarships and bursaries. Our diverse scholarship program fosters and rewards high academic achievement.

In addition, should you require financial aid; you can apply for a wide range of loans, special opportunity grants, work-study opportunities, bursaries, and awards.

Scholarships for Canadian Students

Prestigious Scholarships
Select students with exceptionally high academic achievements and promise may be eligible for scholarships that pay up to $20,000 over a four-year period.

80 Percent or Higher?
High-achieving students with entrance marks of 80% or higher, will automatically receive a national entrance scholarship starting at $1,000 per year, renewable each year by maintaining an 80% average.

90 Percent or Higher?
High-achieving students with entrance marks of 90% or higher, will automatically receive a national entrance scholarship of $2,500, each and every year of study at Trent, provided they maintain an 80% average.  Please see our full scholarship chart for details, found on the Scholarships and Bursaries section of the web site.

International Scholarships and Awards
The Trent International Program offers a number of renewable scholarships to students eligible for admission to Trent, and who are not citizens or permanent residents of Canada. For more information, please visit the Scholarships and Bursaries section of the web site.

Bursaries
Bursary funds totalling $2.5 million are available to Ontario residents studying full-time or part-time in an undergraduate program at Trent University. Funds are awarded each September and January based upon documented financial need and satisfactory academic achievement.
