Your New Student Orientation Team

Oluwafikemi Akapo :

Hello! My name is Kemi and I am the coordinator for New Student
Orientation. I'm really looking forward to meeting you this summer and
being part of your orientation to our wonderful university. Experience
Trent to its fullest!

May Zaw:

I am an International student at Trent. I grew up in Thailand and Laos. I am now a nursing student graduate and I am excited to soon become an RN!  I hope you enjoy your Trent experience and please go out and explore! Have as much fun as you can while perusing your undergraduate degree! There is so much to do and so much to learn! Looking forward to meeting all of you. Welcome to your new home! Welcome to Trent!

Mat Crouthers:

Hey, I’m Mat! I'm from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, going into my 3rd year at Trent studying Psychology and Biology. Trent is a great school with endless opportunities to get involved and make your university experience one to remember! Hope you have a great summer and I look forward to meeting you in the fall!

Kierstin Ursacki:

Welcome incoming students! I'm entering my fourth year in the Arts & Science Stream for Teacher Education program majoring in English Literature and Psychology. I’ve been an active member of the Impact Leadership program throughout my time here, through which I've had so many opportunities. My advice: make the most of your education by getting involved! The oppertunities are endless at Trent, take advantage of them!

Jessica Geen:

Hey and welcome! I just finished my 2nd year at Trent and coming from small town Tweed to Trent was a huge but much loved transition. I am a con-ed student doing a joint-major in Psychology and History. I found out that you get out what you put in and by being involved with campus events and groups such as IMPACT the opportunities and memorable experiences are endless. The people you meet here are amazing and I hope I get the chance to meet you at NSO.

Dan Smith:

I grew up in the gorgeous summer get-a-way of Muskoka, making the natural and hometown atmosphere at Trent the perfect place for me. I recently graduated with a joint-major in Modern History and Ancient History. I was a Residence Student Don in both Champlain College and Gzowski over the past three years. Try to find a balance early; you will enjoy your university career more while also getting everything done for your courses. Don’t worry about messing up… that’s how we learn where that balance needs to be.

Tasha Neilsen:

Hey there and welcome to Trent! I just finished my 3rd year at Trent, studying Math in the Queens-Trent Concurrent Education! I proudly call Trent my home, there is no place I would rather be (especially in the fall, the campus is breathtaking)! I can’t wait to meet you and look forward to welcoming you to our community.
