 Local Café Opening New Location at Trent Athletics CentreFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Planet North celebrates grand opening at Athletics Centre Wednesday, January 11, 2012, Peterborough The Athletics Centre (AC) at Trent and the Planet Bakery are pleased to announce an exciting partnership that will see the Planet North, a new branch of the popular downtown café, open in the lobby of the AC this month. The Planet North will celebrate its official grand opening during a Community Open House to be held at the Athletics Centre at Trent University on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 1pm to 4pm. All members of the community are welcome to attend the event, take a tour of the new state-of-the-art sport and recreation facility, and enjoy free samples from the Planet North. “We are excited to be expanding and opening up a new café at Trent,” said Lucas French, manager of the Planet North. “With our homemade and healthy food options, the new Planet North will be a great fit with both the University and the Athletics Centre, which strives to encourage and inspire healthy lifestyles for all of their members.” The Planet North’s menu will be similar to its parent restaurant downtown and will feature homemade soups and sandwiches as well as smoothies, baked goods, specialty coffees and espresso. -30- For more information, please contact: |
