Third Annual Riverside Railjam at Trent University on Saturday, March 19

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New course layout to challenge ski and snowboard competitors

Thursday, March 17, 2011, Peterborough

The third annual Trent Riverside Railjam, boasting new features and a new course layout for ski and snowboard competitors, will take place at Trent University’s Gzowski College on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Trent University business students, Wes Daubeny and Matt Pidutti are coordinating the Railjam, which will feature a fresh new site plan and course layout. The event’s popularity has grown to provide a 500-person capacity beer garden surrounding the ski and snowboard competition along with a sponsor village, giveaways, DJs and the live music of the Daft Punk Tribute Band and the Five Aces.

The mission for the not-for-profit, student-run event is to bring together and express the exciting Canadian snow-sports culture to the University and surrounding community.

The Trent University Riverside Railjam is free to the public and all ages are welcome. There will be a small cover charge to get into the 19+ beer gardens.
