Trent University Announces 2007 March Break Open Houses

All prospective students invited to attend Peterborough Campus Open House on March 9 and 10, Trent in Oshawa on March 15

All prospective Trent students, who are interested in taking a campus tour and learning more about Trent’s academic programs and support services, are invited to bring their families and friends to the University’s annual March Break Open Houses, to be held on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 in Peterborough and on Thursday, March 15 in Oshawa.

On Friday, March 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. prospective students are invited to join faculty, staff and current Trent students for an information reception at the University’s Symons Campus in Peterborough. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to talk to representatives from academic departments and student services, attend sample lectures and various program specific information sessions; and participate in a tour of Trent’s campus. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

On Saturday, March 10, prospective students and their families are invited to the Symons Campus in Peterborough for a full-day program designed to give a comprehensive overview of the University. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to: attend an Academic, Student Services and Clubs and Groups Fair; attend sample lectures and various program specific information sessions; take a campus tour highlighting residences, academic space, and the athletics and recreation centre; and sample on-campus food during a complimentary lunch. Throughout the day, specific-program receptions for students interested in the School of Nursing and the Trent International Program will also be held.

Students interested in attending Trent in Oshawa are invited to an Open House at the University’s Oshawa campus at Durham College/UOIT (2000 Simcoe Street North) on Thursday March 15, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Highlights of the days events include: campus tours; opportunities to “meet your professor”; and information on transfer credits, academic counselling, financial aid, and peer mentoring. Complementary refreshments will be served.
