Next Steps for Durham GTA Campus Expansion Approved by Trent Board of Governors
University now accepting bids to build and finance the new residence and academic building
Trent’s Board of Governors approved the next steps for the development of a new residence and academic building at the University’s Durham GTA campus during its November 2018 meeting. This next step allows the University to proceed with an open competitive procurement process to build and finance the project.
“This is an important milestone in the expansion of our Durham campus,” remarked Joe Muldoon, head of Trent University Durham GTA. “The planned building will combine academic and residential space, lecture halls, classrooms and faculty offices in a full living/learning community. The integration of academic, administrative and student living space will foster a vibrant campus community experience.”
At the meeting, approval was also given to proceed with a separate tender using traditional procurement processes for the redevelopment of food services and relocation of other space in the existing building on the Trent Durham campus.
