Record Attendance Expected for Trent University Fall Open House November 2 in Peterborough
New programs, Careerspace & transformed Bata Library headline fall event
A record number of students is expected at Trent University’s fall Open House event Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., drawn by innovative new programs, a guaranteed career experience for every student, and the stunning new Bata Library of the future.
“Students and their families visiting our fall Open House in Peterborough will be among the first to step into our newly renovated Bata Library – and we expect a lot of interest in our new programs, two of which come with co-op. In fact, now every Trent student is guaranteed an experiential learning opportunity that will help prepare them for success,” said Marilyn Burns, associate vice-president, Marketing & Recruitment. “High school students: don’t forget to bring your pin # on Friday and we can help you apply to Trent on the spot. Let’s have a coffee together and talk about what you want to do in the future and how Trent can help to get you there.”
Trent University is once again offering free transportation to students throughout the GTA (stops at Union Station and Scarborough Town Centre), Kingston, Belleville and Ottawa. A bus-to-us program with free pick-up and drop-off to the Peterborough Open House.
Highlights of the Trent Fall Open House, students can:
- Apply on the Spot: Visit the “Apply Now” table in the Athletics Centre. High school students need a pin # for our admissions team them apply on the spot.
- Careerspace: Meet the Careerspace team and find out our guaranteed career experience while studying at Trent University;
- Faculty Dedicated to Teaching Undergrads: Speak with professors and students about their program of interest at the academic and student services fair.
- New Career-focused Programs: Find out more about Trent’s newest programs: Law and Arts / Law & Business; Chemical Engineering Dual Degree; Forensic Chemistry; Forensic Biology; Medical & Veterinary pathways; and more.
- A Breathtaking Campus: Tour Trent’s picturesque Peterborough campus, including residences, the newly transformed Bata Library and Student Centre – tours depart every 10 minutes;
- Small Classes with Top Lecturers: Attend mini-lectures and information sessions;

On Saturday, October 27, Trent University Durham GTA hosted a record-breaking Fall Open House, during which more guests than ever before came to explore Trent’s growing GTA campus in Oshawa.
