Internationalizing Higher Education through Global Partnerships
Delegates from Huaiyin Institute of Technology in China visit Trent University
Promoting international and cultural exchange programs, and working towards the internationalization of higher education – just two topics of discussion between delegates from Huaiyin Institute of Technology in China and Trent University during a recent visit to Trent’s Peterborough campus.
The delegation from China received a warm welcome from Dr. Leo Groarke, president and vice-chancellor, Dr. Jacqueline Muldoon, provost and vice-president academic, Cath D'Amico, Trent International; John Knight, research and partnerships, and Dr. David Ellis, acting dean of Arts and Science, Sciences. Meetings at Trent were also held with faculty members from Business Administration, Physics, Kinesiology and Nursing.
The Huaiyin Institute of Technology chairman expressed great optimism for future collaborations with Trent University in his parting remarks. Future projects between Trent and the Chinese university could include student mobility programs for study abroad, faculty exchange, and research collaborations.
