Financing your education may be an intimidating topic for some, but Trent University is aiming to alleviate those concerns for all university and college-bound students, and their families, at an upcoming OSAP and financial aid seminar.
The Money Talks seminar will be held at both Trent’s Peterborough and Durham campuses, is free to attend, and will feature discussions on tips and tricks for financing postsecondary education. Topics for the seminar, hosted by Trent’s Financial Aid Office, will include: OSAP, scholarships and bursaries, Ontario Tuition Grants, and other sources and resources available to students.
All are welcome to the events, including those planning to attend institutions other than Trent University. The presentation is geared towards all students who are planning to attend university or college in fall 2016.
“No matter where students are heading in the fall, we recognize that finances can be a major stressor and at times, a barrier to education,” said Christopher Rooney, manager, Operations and Client Services in the Office of the Registrar at Trent University. “At Trent, we are proud to be #1 in Canada for our scholarship and bursaries and our hope is that this seminar will relieve some of this stress and help students understand that postsecondary education can be affordable for them.”
