Explore Day Highlights Best of Trent University Durham for Future Students
Prospective students invited to discover Trent’s growing Durham campus at special event May 13
For future university students, there's nothing quite like taking a walk around campus and being able to imagine what the next chapter of your life could hold – from the classrooms you'll sit in, to the professors who will inspire your studies.
On Friday, May 13, 2016 prospective students and their friends and family are invited to get a sense of life on campus at the Explore Trent University Durham event. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is open to all high school, mature, and transfer students, as well as their friends and family, who have already applied or are considering attending Trent’s growing GTA campus in Oshawa.
“We have over a 40 year history in the Durham region and are continuing to grow by offering a range of new innovative programs, and new courses every year,” said Joe Muldoon, head of Trent University Durham. “We’re looking forward to welcoming students to campus and giving them a taste of what life at Trent University Durham is like.”
At the event, guests will have the opportunity to take in a guided tour of campus led by a current Trent student, speak with Financial Aid about scholarships, bursaries, OSAP, and other ways to fund postsecondary education, and speak to faculty and staff about programs and student life and services. Two half hour sessions will be hosted, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., offering guests more information about life on campus. Students will also have the chance to either apply to Trent on the spot, or accept their offer. Trent's admissions team will be available to answer questions about applying to Trent or about student’s offer of admissions.
