Celebrating Giving Tuesday: Consider a Gift to Trent Today
Trent celebrates annual day of giving by showcasing inspiring students
Trent student Paige Cruse knows the importance of giving. After losing her sister to mental illness, she recognized the impact that she could have talking to at risk individuals and currently volunteers at a local crisis line. It was an empowering experience – one of many that led to her enrollment in Trent University’s Nursing program. She hopes to build a career as an R.N. helping those coping with mental health issues.
Ms. Cruse has also benefitted from the generosity of others – receiving several awards and bursaries that have allowed her to flourish while experiencing financial hardship.
Trent is celebrating Giving Tuesday by showcasing inspiring students that have both benefitted from philanthropy and found their own unique ways of giving back. It is hoped that these stories will inspire others to help contribute meaningfully to their own communities and raise awareness of the importance of philanthropy.
On Tuesday, December 1, Trent joins thousands of other organizations across Canada and the United States in urging people to share their commitment, bolster favourite causes, and contribute in a special way to meet the needs of others.
How are you giving back this Giving Tuesday? Make a gift to Trent University and help students, just like Ms. Cruse, achieve their dreams.
