Friends, family, and fans joined members of the Trent University men’s extramural hockey team in the Athletics Centre gymnasium on March 31 to celebrate their most recent achievement – winners of this year’s Campus Recreation Challenge Cup.

In honour of the occasion, the Ontario Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation Challenge Cup banner was raised, finding a permanent home on the wall of honour in the gym.

Before the banner was raised, Steven Pillar, Trent’s vice president of finance and administration, who was joined at the ceremony by director of athletics and recreation, Deborah Bright-Brundle, took a moment to congratulate the team on an outstanding season.  After mentioning many of the team’s accomplishments on the season Mr. Pillar asked “What’s next?” and the team responded with a unanimous “do it again next year!”
