Trent Students Launch Youth Entrepreneurship Society

New student group focuses on mentorship, guidance and support of young aspiring entrepreneurs

Being an entrepreneur requires a variety of skills: drive, persistence, passion and patience, but, above all else, hard work. For those brave enough to take on such a challenge of character, to pit their idea against the markets of the world, there is the Youth Entrepreneurship Society (YES).

YES is a new student club at Trent University focused on mentorship, guidance and support of young aspiring entrepreneurs. Headed by Ryan Brewer, a fourth-year business and history student at Trent, the club is searching for eager applicants to push innovation and with an idea to share with the world.

“The club is an awesome idea for young entrepreneurs to take that first step, and be among like-minded people,” said John Knight, manager of Corporate Research Partnerships at Trent, and an avid supporter of youth entrepreneurism.

YES will host guest speakers, workshops and business planning lessons to prepare youth entrepreneurs for the transition into the business world. Read more on the launch of YES at http://www.innovationcluster.ca/2015/03/23/faststart-assists-in-the-launch-of-the-trent-youth-entrepreneurship-society/
