Trent University Durham Associate Professor Dr. Roger Lohmann sat down with Daytime Durham to discuss his research in the field of dreaming. The anthropology professor explains how different cultures view and interpret their dreams and how dreams have been perceived throughout different time periods.

Prof. Lohmann describes his newest research in the art of lucid dreaming, which he defines as “being aware that you dreaming, while you are dreaming.” He began this research with his former Trent University Master’s student and together they began to look at how different cultures “practice” lucid dreaming and the ways in which they use this practice in their everyday lives.
