A parade is coming to downtown Peterborough and you are invited!
Join us as we celebrate Trent’s milestone 50th anniversary by recreating the original opening ceremonies from 1964, including a parade down Rubidge Street to Rubidge Hall, the original home of Trent University.
The festivities get underway at 1pm at the corner of Rubidge and Reid Streets. All students, faculty and staff (current and retired), are welcome to walk in the parade (amongst many other groups). If you own regalia, please wear it, otherwise be sure to wear something Trent or Trent green.
All members of the Trent and Peterborough communities are also invited to join us along the parade route and stay for the official ceremony at Rubidge Hall. Be sure to bring the whole family. The event will feature music, special presentations, a plaque unveiling, kids’ activities and more.
Following the ceremonies, stay downtown and enjoy a special discount at participating shops and restaurants.
