In an effort to bring the election process directly to students, Trent University, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), and Durham College will co-host a City of Oshawa mayoral candidate debate on Tuesday, September 23.
All are invited to attend the 90-minute debate, taking place at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre at the Durham College / UOIT joint campus in Oshawa, starting at 6:30 p.m. Following the debate, there will be a one-hour candidate networking event where students and community members will get a chance to discuss issues of importance to them with mayoral and councillor candidates.
Questions for the candidates can be submitted in advance of the debate to externalrelations@uoit.ca until Monday, September 22 at 4 p.m.
