50th Anniversary Event

Event Description

Ron Thom was best known and most respected for his West Coast Modern domestic architecture, Massey College and Trent University.The national, travelling exhibit explores the trajectory of his creative output: the narrative link between his earliest creative work with Vancouver homes and his two great masterpieces in Ontario, Massey College and Trent University.

Event Details

• Featuring the distinctive aggregate-rubble that Thom devised with engineer Morden Yolles as well as his original built-in furniture and other features.
• Take a walking tour of Trent University’s campus and learn more about Ron Thom’s architecture! Paper copies are available at Alumni House, or use your phone to open the mobile-friendly version or print off your own copy at home.
• The cross-country exhibition touring schedule is as follows:

  • Toronto | Gardiner Museum: February 13, 2014 - April 27, 2014
  • Fredericton NB | Beaverbrook Art Gallery: November 20, 2014 - March 1, 2015
